Purpose:
It provides the user with the ability to search for cruises that best fit there needs.
- Does the site's home page validate?
- No the home page does not validate. securityhealth.org/directory
- Find any other page on the site. Does the second page validate?
- No the second page I went to from the home page did not validate either. The site listed under the Website URL above. Does not validate. It came up with
7 errors and 2 warnings. The home page
- Document how many validation errors and/or warnings may exist on each of the two
pages you validate.
- For the home page It comes up 26 errors and . For the second
page It came up with 18 errors and 5 warnings. The second page I validated was the home page which did not pass validation.
It had 23 errors and 7 warnings.
- How would you rate the site's design, on a scale of 1(horrible) to 10
(fantastic)? Why?
- I would rate the webssite a 4 out of 10 for design. Since the website is very simple with not allot of
colors or styling applied to the website. However, I could see this website being a website that could easily
look the same on allot of different browsers and mobile device without it looking to different.
- How would you rate the site's usability on a scale of 1(horrible)
to 10 (fantastic)? Why?
- I would rate it a 3 out of 10 for usability. Because while it may appear similar accross different browsers
and mobile devices. It is not layed out nicely for users to be able to navigate easily througout the site. I
also don't like that the home page already has allot of adds spread throughout the content itself. Which to me
would deter a user from trusting the site.
- Does the site meet it's purpose?
- Yes, it does meet it's purpose. While it may not rank high for usability or design. It still does provide
the information I was looking for in terms of helping me to understand what progressive enhancements are for
web design. As well as why it's important.
